𝐶𝑒𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑒𝑑 𝐹𝑖𝑟𝑒 𝑆𝑎𝑓𝑒𝑡𝑦 𝐼𝑛𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟 (𝐶𝐹𝑆𝐼®)
Certified Fire Safety Inspector (CFSI) is a safety practitioner who specializes in a specific area of fire safety profession.
The function must be in a definite area such as fire safety, transportation safety, hazardous materials, product safety, health care safety, electrical safety and fire rescues etc.
He or she is of the expertise at fire control measures and fire emergency response.
BCOSP is accredited by the American Certification Service – Global Program (ACS-GP) under ISO/IEC 17024 – Requirements for bodies operating certification of persons.
BCOSP sets certification criteria for Certified Fire Safety Inspector (CFSI®) through the ISO/IEC 17024 standards for personnel certification.
Application Criteria for CFSI®
have minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field or a professional qualification in occupational health and safety recognized by international safety organizations or other approved disciplines by the Board.
have seven (10) years of safety experience where safety is at least 50% preventative*, professional level with his/her safety duties.
Your duties are actively involved with provision of day to day risk assessments and control measures to protect people, and prevent incidents/ accidents at work
Must pass the CFSI® examination
Maintain your certification

- meet recertification requirements
